Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan declared two Assembly seats from which the party would contest in the coming general elections to the State Assembly. He said that he is announcing the two seats because his ally, the TDP, had announced two seats.
He said that when the two parties agreed to go in alliance, the TDP had crossed the rule by declaring two seats. He also found fault with TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh stating that his father N Chandrababu Naidu would be the chief minister. He said he took the statement easily because some sacrifices are to be made when two parties come together.
He emphasized the need to defeat Jagan Mohan Reddy in the coming elections. He said that the state would not witness any development if Jagan Mohan Reddy is elected for another term. He wanted to stop Jagan from coming back to power and had tied up with the TDP. He wanted the TDP leaders to restrain from making any statement that would harm the interests of the two parties and their alliance.
Pawan Kalyan said that the Jana Sena would contest from Rajam and Rajanagaram Assembly constituencies. He declared this during the Republic Day celebrations and said that he is ready to declare more seats if the TDP also declares their seats. He sought to advise the TDP leaders to stop declaring assembly seats when there is alliance.
When the two parties were holding talks over seat sharing it was not proper on the part of the TDP to declare its seats. He wanted the leaders to wait for the Jana Sena to accept their seats. He also wanted the TDP leaders to restrain from making any such announcement in future.
The Jana Sena chief said that he is not against any individual in the ruling YSR Congress Party. He said he is against the party but not its leaders. He wanted the YSR Congress leaders to join the Jana Sena. He welcomed the YSR Congress leaders into his party and said that he would respect the leaders as individuals.
