Senior Congress leader and opposition leader, Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly, C Ramacahandraiah remarked that Pawan did a mistake by meeting chief minister Chandrababu Naidu. He said definitely it had affected the credibility of Janasena president and movie star Pawan Kalyan.
Talking to ‘telugu360.com’ on Sunday he said in an era, when people were waiting for the rise of a credible leader, Pawan tried to fill the gap by raising issues tormenting the people and questioning the government policies towards farmers. Even though he did not do anything big, people reposed faith in him as the future leader. ” At this point, Pawan chose to meet Chandrababu Naidu, whose image is sullied due to his broken promises and defective policies. Instead of standing by the people, Pawan echoed the sentiments of the government after the meeting. This is disappointing,” Ramachandraiah said. Ramachandraiah is a know Kapu leader from Rayalaseema and has been fighting for the BC status for the Kapus.
Advising Pawan not to fall prey to Naidu’s conspiratorial politics, Ramachandraiah asked the “Power Star” to recall the history Chandrababu Naidu before hobnobbing with the TDP president . Any association with Naidu would undermine his political objective, if he had any, he said.
” Use and throw is the Naidu’s policy. He uses all effective leaders to his advantage and discards them once his job is over. Take the case of Daggubati Venkateswar Rao. He was offered the post of deputy chief minister in 1994 when he usurped power after staging a coup against NT Ramarao. In the recent times, he used the image of junior NTR to get votes from the youth. Now, Naidu is not even uttering the name of Junior NTR. I can cite dozen names who were politically liquidated by Naidu. If Pawan forgets the history, he will meet the same fate,” Ramachandraiah cautioned.
Naidu needs pawan’s support for many reasons, including Kapu votes. ” Naidu’s hunger for land is going to create massive unrest in the in next two or three years. He is not able to silence the Congress. Now, Adivasis are up against Naidu for bauxite mistake. If Pawan is not silenced his utterances on the land acquisition against the will of the farmers, fishermen and tribal people would land the government in trouble. He sees real threat from Pawan outside political parties when unrest is bound to be created. Similarly Naidu wants to woo the Kapu youth. I hope Pawan will see through the politics of Naidu and avoid falling prey to predatory politics Chandrababu Naidu,” he said.
