Rival parties have followed closely how educated sections, intellectuals, senior citizens and youth are making their decisions for the April 11 election. These neutral voters are undecided till a few days ago. But now the election campaign scene has changed the poll game dramatically. Now they have come under the impact of Andhra sentiment, development of the state and anti-Central government feelings.
Jagan has not properly responded to meet AP people’s aspirations in this respect as he appeared to be a friend of KCR and PM Modi. The Central Government’s stepmotherly attitude towards AP has even done greater damage. On the other hand, Jana Senani Pawan Kalyan couldn’t maintain his tempo of his campaign due to his sudden tie-up with the BSP. By doing so, Pawan proved he is no different from the regular political parties. He did ‘padaabhivandanam’ to Mayawati but it didn’t help to boost his party prospects in any manner. These factors have led to the neutral voters and educated sections to opt for the party which can deliver results in development and welfare sectors. This is where the TDP scored more over the YCP as Jagan’s image took a severe beating after the murder of Vivekananda Reddy coupled with his secret deals with KCR and Modi. The voters in coastal areas from Prakasam to Srikakulam districts are reacting negatively on the Vivekananda Reddy murder.
