Fans of mega film stars Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan are angry against Telugu Desam Party’s `reckless’ Denduluru MLA Chintamaneni Prabhakar, who used to be in news frequently using abusive and authoritative language against officials and opponents. Joined with Jana Sena Party workers, fans staged dahrnas and rasta rokos at Tadepalligudem and Jangareddygudem in West Godavari district.
They were angry with the remarks of Chintamaneni claiming that TDP had won 2014 polls on its own and it was not the credit of the Pawan Kalyan. Recently he questioned in an interview to a web channel that “if the credit goes to Pawan Kalyan, why was his brother Chiranjeevi lost in the elections.”
The MLA turned to be a `headache’ not only to his opponents and officials who comes on his authoritative way, but also to his own party leaders. While not allowing any party leader to interfere into his constituency issues, he also involving into issues related to neighboring constituencies. Many TDP leaders practically fears to face him.
In Tadepalligudem, Pawan Kalyan fans taken out a huge rally with the effigy of Chintamaneni . They reached the main centre in the town and burnt the effigy and blocked traffic for over an hour. They said that Pawan Kalyan was the star campaigner for the TDP and it was voted to power only due to him. They demanded that Prabhakar should withdraw his “derogatory” comments against Pawan or else he would face their fury.
In Jangareddigudem also they took out a protest rally and staged a dharna at Bose Bomma centre over one hour. They later tried to burn the Chintameneni’s effigy but the attempt was foiled by police. The fans performed abhishekam to their leader Pawan Kalyan’s flexi at the centre by pouring milk.
Last week, Chintamaneni was locked into a controversy for allegedly attacking a journalist at Eluru and the journalists began agitation in phased manner demanding action against him. Eluru police also registered a case against him. Now it is the turn of Jana Sena workers and Pawan fans to take up agitation against the MLA.
