Jana Sena Chief Pawan Kalyan for the first time directly attacked Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s governance, though he didn’t mentioned his name directly, strongly objected over turning 207 acres of farm lands at Mulalanka as dumping yard near Polavaram project.
He asked why the state government and other people’s representatives were mum when TDP MP Rayapati Sambasiva Rao’s Transtory Company, which is the contractor for this project, turning farm lands into dumping yard, without seeking any formal permission. Why the government was silent on it, he asked.
In his Tweets today, raising the affected farmers concerns, he cautioned the state government it would not be good for the state of Andhra Pradesh to make farmers feel sad. Accusing that the government turned farm lands into dumping yard without taking the approval of the farmers, he demanded that proper compensation and rehabilitation should be provided to the affected farmers.
Referring to Chief Minister’s claims that he has been conducting a review on progress of Polavaram project every Monday, he wondered that why till now this problem was not discussed by the government.
Strongly protesting against state government’s move to acquire lanka lands in Amaravati capital region, without offering proper compensation, the Jana Sena chief accused that the government is seen showing discrimination with regard to compensation as these lands belonging to daliths.
Warning the government such apprehensions would be dangerous to the society, he expressed a doubt on the permissions acquired from the National Green Tribunal for taking up constructions in lands close to Krishna River.
Objecting foisting cases on the agitating farmers. Pawan Kalyan also demanded that the farmers of Lanka lands should be given equal compensation as the Patta lands for losing their lands.
