TDP MLA and former minister Ravela Kishore Babu gave a shocker to TDP as he quit the party yesterday. He not only resigned to his MLA post but also resigned to primary membership of the Telugu Desam party. He submitted his resignation in the Speaker’s office. He was representing Prattipadu Assembly constituency in Guntur district. He joined into Janasena today in the presence of Pawan Kalyan. Pawan, Nadendla, and Ravela had convened press meet today.
Nadendla and Bala Raju appreciated Ravela for setting a new trend:
Nadendala Manohar spoke high about Ravela and told that he has set a new trend by first resigning to MLA post before joining another party. He added that, Ravela had been influenced by Ambedkar’s ideology since childhood. He also told, TDP has humiliated him despite he served the party with his best efforts and he personally knows how TDP insulted him on several occasions. Another former MLA Pasupuleti Bala Raju also spoke that, nowadays politicians are not willing to resign even one day before the expiry of their term for any post they are holding, but Ravela Kishore set a good trend that he first resigned to MLA post and then joined Janasena.
Ravela told he was humiliated a lot in TDP:
Ravela Kishore told that, he is inspired by Pawan Kalyan’s ideology and his fights against ruling party’s mockery of democracy in the state. He told he has grown up studying Ambedkar and Phule’s ideologies. He told, Bala Raju, who joined recently into Janasena is best friend of him and Nadendla took him to Pawan and helped him join the party. He added that, he put his best efforts while serving as minister and he toiled hard to take schems of government to people. However, he added, TDP has humiliated him and he can’t work where his self-respect is hurt. He told, Pawan Kalyan is fighting for downtrodden people and thats why he joined the party. He went on to say Pawan Kalyan is Periyar and Kanshi Ram of this generation.
Unity of castes is Janasena Principle, says Pawan
Later Pawan Kalyan spoke and he welcomed Ravela Kishore Babu into the party. He told that he knows social movements in which Ravela participated in. He also added that, Janasena’s principle is to unite all castes. He told that,already we lost a lot by losing Telangana and we if we don’t unite all castes in the state, there will be caste movements in the state and that is not good for AP. He countered Chandra Babu’s statement that “Nobody wants to be born as SC” and told, if possible he wants to be born as SC. He also told that AP CM Chandra Babu doesn’t have any control on his MLAs .
Overall, it seems Pawan intentionally joined Ravela into the party to avoid caste tag for the party. He is surrounding himself with leaders from various castes like Nadendala (Kamma), Bala raju (ST) and now Ravela (SC).
