After being dormant for the past 4 years, the AP state politics have become active, in fact violent, in the past couple of weeks. Despite not participating in the 2014 elections, Pawan Kalyan’s Janasena is manipulating the state politics.Putting aside the beneficiaries in the whole context, each party chief is coming out with their own strategies.
The magnitude of uncertainty is every growing in the TDP’s camp in recent times. After CBN failed to get the promises made under ‘Special Status’ fulfilled for Andhra Pradesh, the anti-CBN wave is strongly heard in the states. The rejection of AP ‘Kapu Reservation’ proposal by the Centre further exposed the dim relations between TDP and BJP. With TDP’s unclear stance on ‘no-confidence’ motion proposed by Pawan Kalyan, and supported by YS Jagan, TDP and CBN need to brace themselves for an upcoming storm.
Meanwhile, YS Jagan who dwells in his own world of ‘Padayatra’, is no good when it comes to public interests. All through his ‘Praja Sankalpa Yatra’ the YSRCP Supremo is only focusing on the CM throne and announcing Shankar-movie-styled sops to people. YSRCP and YS Jagan are just relying on the moves made by TDP and Janasena, rather than taking their own stance.
Pawan Kalyan and his team (of bureaucrats, and Jayaprakash Narayana and Undavalli Arun Kumar), is literally directing the state politics. Undavalli’s proposal of ‘no-confidence’ motion has already created a spur between TDP and YSRCP. It would be interesting to see what impact the ‘facts’ from the JFC committee can have on state politics.
