Janasena chief and movie star Pawan Kalyan arrived at Gannavaram airport to a grand welcome by the farmers. He landed in Vijayawada to meet chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu. He arrived by a special flight and immediately drove down to Chief Minister’s camp office. Pawan has been siding with the farmers who are opposed to give up their lands to the projects such as Amaravati capital and ports. Now the land acquisition has become a contentious issue from Boghapuram to Bandar where all farmers have been opposing the take away of the lands of small and marginal farmers. The power star, the name he is popular among his fans, is said to have discussed with CM. What is interesting, the star turned part-time politician today was seen in typical Telugu attire, Panche, instead his usual jeans.
He reached the CM’s Vijayawada camp office located in Lingamaneni guest house at around 11.50 AM. The details are yet to come.
Courtesy Call?
TDP circles, however, said there was nothing political about the meeting. ” As Pawan did not attend the Amaravati Foundation laying ceremony on October 22, he wanted to meet the CM and convey his best wishes. He wanted to tell the CM that he missed the opportunity to attend the spectacular ceremony as he was busy with a shooting. It was only a courtesy call,” the sources said.
