It is known news that boat capsized on Godavari River in West Godavari District on Tuesday and killed more than 10 people. There were about 50 passengers on board when the incident happened. Janasena chief Pawan responded on this incident today.
The incident happened when the boat hit a hill because of the negligence of the operator. Boat operator surrendered himself to police. Massive rescue operations are on by using boats and divers. The state disaster management teams and the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) personnel are still working on this. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu directed the officials to undertake rescue operations on a war footing.
Pawan Kalyan responded on this issue and commented that these boats are running with purely profit motto and government needs to take stringent actions to make sure these kind of incidents dont happen in future. He also opined, in foreign countries, lives of people are valued but here, people lives are taken for granted and governments need to ensure safety of people. He added, in addition to giving ex-gratia, governments have to focus on measures needed to avoid such incidents in future. He also called Janasainiks to help the victims of the incident.
