YSR Congress claimed that people of Andhra Pradesh were opposed to the government policies and were looking for a change and YSR Congress would stand by them in fighting the injustice.
‘The massive support shown by the people during the dharna against the hike in RTC bus fare hike has exposed the mood of the masses and YSR Congress will take up all issues of public interest,’ party senior leader Kothapalli Subba Rayudu remarked Tuesday. The party organized dharnas across the state on Monday against the hike bus fare in the state. The party issued ultimatum to the government to revoke the prices by midnight October 25 . As the government chose to ignore the ultimatum, the party had organized dharnas near bus depots.
People are vexed with the policies of the TDP government and the hike in RTC charges despite the fall in crude oil prices globally did not go well with the people, he said, after attending a review meeting by Party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
‘while the prices of essential commodities have been sky-rocketing and farmers are not getting MSP and the state government is blind to the problems of farmers,” Subbarayudu said.
Even though the palm oil prices have fallen drastically below the MSP, the State had not taken any measure, he said adding that the leaders from West Godavari district had requested Party president to take the cause of the farmers who are in distress.
