The people of Perupalem village in W.Godavari district are waiting for Chiranjeevi for inauguration of further development work by Chiranjeevi. 3 years back the village was in bad shape due to lack of proper infrastructural facilities like roads, drainage, street lights and many other issues. Rajya Sabha member and actor Chiranjeevi then assured that he will develop Perupalem (south) village located on the sea coast as a model village in all aspects.
He laid the foundation stone for various development works taken up at a cost of Rs 5.20 crore in Perupalem (south) village in Mogalthuru mandal. Following the call given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to MPs to adopt villages, he immediately decided to adopt a village at his native place. In these 3 years, several development works have been taken up, CC roads set up, 125 solar street lights were laid, 5 reverse osmosis plants for drinking water have been set up.
However, extension of water tank pipeline works and canal works yet to be finished as these were stalled midway due to fund crunch. So villagers thank Chiranjeevi for adopting their village, for the development work that has been done so far and eagerly waiting for him to resume the stalled works, to inaugurate the further development works.
