Petition Filed Against Actor Vishal

The action hero Vishal has got many eyebrows raised when he filed a nomination in RK Nagar constituency, Chennai yesterday morning. He has been opposed by actor-director Cheran who filed a petition against him saying he should resign from the post of president for Kollywood producers forum after this decision.

Cheran questioned the credibility of Vishal’s actions for taking the blessings of late Jayalalithaa and MGR instead of Karunanidhi which was the norm for all the Kollywood fraternity. He also expressed that if Vishal gets into politics, the producers forum will be neglected badly and the necessary financial aid may not come for them as well. Cheran also specified that Vishal is trying to gain political mileage by keeping this existing post in hand.

Vishal on the other hand has been maintaining a very straightforward stand on the issue. He said the nomination done was not to support any existing political party or for personal gains but to help the people of RK Nagar and solve their problems relating to water supply and cleanliness. Will Vishal be propelled to resign from the post because of the petition? Only time can decide!
