The pre release event of Rajinikanth’s upcoming film Petta happened in Hyderabad this Sunday. Speaking at the event, Prasanna Kumar, one of the producers, has lashed out at mafia which is holding monopoly over theatres in Telugu states.
Prasanna Kumar said there is acute shortage of theatres for Petta in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh due to the presence of mafia which is managed by some big wig producers. He powerfully stated that no one can stop a good film and indirectly attacked the star producer of Tollywood who is associated with two Sankranthi biggies.
He added that though there is space to release atleast 7 films for audience during Sankranthi festival, the mafia is not allowing others to get theatres and release their films. He warned the producer of imminent consequences and downfall in the coming days. Prasanna Kumar wished that NTR biopic will emerge as a blockbuster at the box office and wished best of luck. He spoke about Rajinikanth’s association with NT Rama Rao.
Petta, directed by Karthik Subbaraj is slated for release this 10th. Trisha is the heroine and Anirudh Ravichander is the composer.
