Superstar Rajinikanth’s next outing Petta has been announced for January 2019 release in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi languages. Now the film is all set to create a record as Petta will be the first film to have a simultaneous release in Kannada as well along with other languages. There has been a debate going on in Sandalwood from the past few years about other language films being dubbed into Kannada. Their recent pride KGF opened gates for several filmmakers and movies to go dubbed and get a simultaneous release.
The Kannada version of Petta is now getting ready and an official announcement is expected at the earliest. There are talks thar Ram Charan’s next film Vinaya Vidheya Rama too will have a Kannada release. Earlier several blockbuster films from regional languages have been dubbed but released later in Kannada. Things will change with Rajinikanth’s Petta and Karnataka High Court along with Competition Commission of India (CCI) ruled out several restrictions which opened gates for several filmmakers.
