Popular actor Sayaji Shinde made his debut in politics by joining Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) led by Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar on Friday. Sayaji Shinde joined NCP in the presence of Maharastra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar, senior leader and former Union Minister Praful Patel, NCP state president Sunil Tatkare among others.
The 65-year-old Sayaji Shinde, who hails from Sakharwadi in Maharashtra started his career as an actor with Marathi theater. Later he got opportunities in Marathi movies, eventually leading to Bollywood.
A prolific actor, Sayaji Shinde got into limelight with RGV-production Shool movie. His role as a powerful and immoral politician won hearts of movie lovers and critics alike. From then on, he did not look back.
Immediately after Shool, Sayaji Shinde made his debut in Telugu film industry and soon became a sought-after actor in Tollywood. Sayaji Shinde earned a niche for himself with villain and character roles. His roles in Pokiri, Super, Tagore, Arundathi and other movies are well remembered by Telugu audience.
Owing to his acting skills, Sayaji Shinde has earned the love of Telugu people, though he is from Maharashtra. Now by joining politics, he has joined the long list of Tollywood actors who jumped into politics.
