Tollywood actor and YSRCP leader Posani Krishna Murali, currently a remand prisoner at Rajampet Sub-Jail, was taken into custody by Narasaraopet police on a PT (Prisoner Transfer) warrant. The warrant was issued in connection with a case registered under Sections 153, 504, and 67 of the BNS Act at Narasaraopet police station.
Posani, who was arrested earlier by Bobbili police for making inflammatory remarks targeting actor-politician Pawan Kalyan and his family, is facing 17 cases across Andhra Pradesh. These cases stem from his controversial statements, which are accused of inciting communal tensions and making inappropriate comments during media interactions and on social media.
Early this morning, Narasaraopet police arrived at Rajampet Sub-Jail to take custody of Posani. Before handing him over, jail authorities conducted a medical examination after Posani complained of chest pain. Doctors confirmed no serious health issues, and he was subsequently handed over to the police.
