Revanth Reddy-led Congress Government is planning to conduct Praja Vijayotsavalu from November 14, to celebrate one year of its rule. The 25-day-long celebrations will be held from Nov 14 to Dec 9.
A committee led by Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka has been formed to plan and organize Praja Vijayotsavalu.
“Congress Government will complete one year on Dec 7. We have put an end to the autocratic rule of KCR and brought in people’s rule in Telangana. As promised to the people, we have implemented several people friendly initiatives like Rs 2 lakh farm loan waiver for farmers (Rythu Runa Maafi), free bus travel for women, gas cylinder for Rs 500 and others successfully. More promises will be fulfilled soon and new schemes will be launched. To take these achievements into public, we are organizing Praja Vijayotsavalu,” said Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka informing media about the celebratory campaign.
Bhatti Vikramarka held a meeting with Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, CS Shanti Kumari, Congress senior leaders K Keshava Rao, Vem Narendar Reddy and others at Secretariat on Saturday to discuss about Praja Vijayotsavalu.
Praja Vijayotsavalu will be launched on November 14, which is the birth anniversary of Jawaharlal Nehru. Vijayotsavalu will end on December 9, on the occasion of Sonia Gandhi’s birthday.
Besides organizing celebrations, cultural programs and outreach activities, several new schemes will also be launched during Praja Vijayotsavalu.
Foundation will be laid for new Osmania Hospital, Young India Sports University, new medical and nursing colleges during Praja Vijayotsavalu. Appointment letters will be handed over to Group 4 new recruits. The Praja Vijayotsavalu will end with a massive public meeting on December 9.
