Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao vowed to perform another yagam, Prayuta Chandiyagam, once the projects he had taken up come to fruition in Telangana state .
Addressing the ritviks of Ayuta Chandiyagam , on conclusion of Yagam, he said he was inspired by the Ayuta Chandiyagam performed at Sringeri Petham to perform the same in Telangana. Recalling the event he attended in 2011, the T-CM said, he had been to the Petham in the thick of Telangana movement seeking blessings of Swamiji for the Telangana state.
” The Swamiji sprinkled akshintalu and blessed me with Prasada of Yagam. Swamiji told me that it was the Prasadam from the Maha Chandiyagam. It was the time when we were deeply engaged in the T-movement. I took a vow to perform the same yagam then and there itself if my wish were to be fulfilled, even though I had apprehension about mobilizing men and material for such a massive Maha Yagam. I still I took a vow in the interest of people and Telangana and Swamiji blessed me. With the benediction of Swamiji, we achieved Telangana state. Very soon, I will go to Sringeri with my family and seek the blessings of Swamiji for the Prayuta Mahayagam.”
” I achieved the state I struggled for. I reached the pinnacle of political power as chief minister. I don’t want anything more. My only wish is to see the lasting smile on the faces of people of Telangana- people of all castes and religions in the state. What more do a man like me want? I am fully confident that all the projects the Telangana government initiated will be completed as expected. Besides Kakatiya mission, I want to revive all the irrigation tanks, which were built during Kakatiya period and remained neglected in the united Andhra Pradesh. I am praying for the fulfillment of the projects without any hurdle as per the timeline. There is plenty of water in Telangana in files. But, there is no water in the fields. If this wish is fulfilled I would like to perform the Prayuta Chandiyagam as thanksgiving. And I request you all to visit this place again and perform the Prayuta Chandiyagam as well.,” he urged the priests participated in the Ayuta Chandiyagam.
