Congress party star campaigner Priyanka Gandhi spoke mockingly at the interview given by PM Modi to actor Akshaya Kumar. The interview was widely viewed across the country. She also saw a part of the interview. It’s sad that Modi talked about light things like how to eat mangoes. The PM should have devoted time for discussing and solving the problems of the people rather than eating mangoes, said Priyanka.
The BJP leaders are criticising Priyanka on the issue of withdrawal of her name from contesting against Modi. She explained that this was a collective decision taken by the party leadership all over in the best interests of the candidates. Plans are long made for Priyanka road shows and election meetings in a large number of Lok Sabha seats. Priyanka’s whirlwind campaigning has boosted the morale among the Congress nominees as huge number of supporters are participating.
Priyanka dismissed rumours that she projected Rahul Gandhi as future prime minister of the country. She asserted that herself and her brother never craved for the PM post ever.
