Nageshwar resigns hans India
Professor K Nageshwar has resigned as the Editor of The Hans India. While the development may come as surprise but it is an anticipated one. According to sources, the management of the company for some time now has allegedly created difficult situations for the Former MLC, so that he can gracefully resign instead of terminating him.
Trouble started brewing for Nageshwar following the demonetization and Income Tax raids. Such problems were faced by many media organizations across the country. The pressure that snowballed from there which ceased only with his resignation.
The nexus between the owner Vaman Rao and the Professor apparently took a toll due to the constant interference over the articles and titles in the daily.
The Hans India is the only paper which was gutsy enough to publish The Wire’s report Amit Shah’s son Jay Shah’s business profit as front-page item on 9th October. The very same day, Professor purportedly submitted his resignation. It may be noted that, on the next day instead of publishing a follow up on the story, the daily had a report on Arun Jaitely’s efforts to secure visas for Indians.
It is evident that Nageshwar’s departure is not merely a coincidence but a well-executed one. It may be noted that the Professor with his perseverance took The Hans India to a better position than it was when he took over.
