It’s all set for Chalamalasetty Sunil, leader of YSRCP and Kakinada Lok Sabha in-charge of the party, to join into Janasena party. As per the reports, he recently met Janasena chief and Pawan gave nod for his entry into the party. Obviously, this is a big blow to YSRCP in Godavari districts.
Chalamalasetty Sunil is an NRI and he contested from PRP as MP candidate from Kakinada constituency in 2009 elections. He lost the elections to Pallam Raju, who got around 3.23 lakh votes while Sunil stood at second place with 2.89 lakh votes. TDP candidate stood at 3rd place. In 2014, he contested from YSRCP from same Kakinada constituency and stood at 2nd place with 5.1 lakh votes while TDP candidate Thota Narasimham got just 3,500 votes more than him. He was Kakinada in-charge of YSRCP and he spent lot of money for the party. However, he has been inactive in YSRCP activities since past few months. Some say, he is not happy with the working style of YS Jagan’s relative, who is interfering in his role. Last month there were rumors that he will be joining TDP as he met Chandra Babu naidu too.
But as per latest reports, Sunil would be joining Janasena party soon. He met Pawan Kalyan too recently and as per the reports, he is all set to join the party during East Godavari tour of Pawan Kalyan. Pawan just finished his west Godavari tour. He will be doing a march on Dowleswaram bridge on 15th of this month. It is not yet known whether Sunil will contest from the same Kakinada as MP candidate in 2019 or he has any other plans.
