Ex-CM and senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh started a big political controversy by describing the February 26 Pulwama attack as a road accident. He said that it was not a suicide bomber attack by terrorists. The incident left 40 Indian soldiers dead and many wounded. His sensational comments faced huge criticism by the public across the country. But Congress leaders are boldly making counter attacks on Modi and BJP leaders who are trying take lot of credit for anti-terrorists strikes launched by India across the border.
Digvijay Singh also expressed doubts over the claims of BJP leaders over the death of terrorists in Indian air strikes. BJP National President Amit Shah is saying over 250 terrorists have been killed so far. Whereas, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said more than 400 terrorists are eliminated in recent air raids by India. But a Union Minister has said there are no deaths of terrorists anywhere. Different leaders are claiming different numbers.
It is now time PM Modi should break his silence and he should tell the countrymen how many terrorists are eliminated till now. Digvijay Singh accused Modi and his party leaders of insulting the Indian armed forces by claiming all the credit for recent showdown with Pakistan.
