The Nara and Daggubati families are known for their long-standing cold war right from the inception of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP). Especially, Daggubati Purandeswari never loses a chance to make indirect attacks on whichever policies brought by Chandrababu Naidu. In a surprising U-turn, she has now begun expressing solidarity to Naidu. This may be the first time every that the former union minister spoke positively on Naidu leadership.
Purandeswari took strong objection to the stone pelting by YCP followers on the Chandrababu convoy in Amaravati tour. She also wanted immediate clarity on Capital City building projects and cancellation of reverse tendering of Polavaram. Is the Daggubati family taking its sweet revenge against CM Jagan Reddy?
Undoubtedly, Purandeswari was hurt because of the way her family was treated in the YCP. Jagan Reddy himself agreed for Purandeswari remaining in BJP while her husband Venkateswara Rao contested in Assembly election on YCP ticket. But now, when she was in America, YCP arbitrarily brought pressure on Purandeswari to join their party. She however chose to continue in BJP which led to irreconcilable differences between the Daggubati family and YCP.
