Ace filmmaker Puri Jagannadh is in news for all wrong reasons from the past one year. It all started with his film with Nithiin shelved due to the interference of Charmi. Later, he lost a big opportunity of directing Megastar Chiranjeevi’s comeback film due to various reasons. He dismissed some of his support staff for making his close matters public. His upcoming bilingual film Rogue suffered various roadblocks after commencing its shoot. Amidst all this, he directed Varun Tej’s Loafer which bombed heavily at the box office.
Last month, he filed a complaint on some of Loafer distributors stating that they have manhandled him to repay amount for the loss they incurred due to the poor show of the film. The distributors launched a scathing attack on Puri and said that they have never met him in the past few weeks. Puri then withdrew the complaint and everyone felt that the issue was amicably settled.
According to the latest reports, one of those distributors is now planning to sue to Puri with a defamation case. It is learnt that the distributor is deeply hurt with Puri’s wrong statements and felt that his image was tarnished. It is said that the distributor is ready with all documents and is ready to slap defamation charges on Puri in the High Court.
