Superstar Rajinikanth fell ill and the shoot of his upcoming movie Coolie got delayed. The film is out of summer race and it is expected to release in August. Rajinikanth is committed to Jailer 2 and the shoot is planned to commence later this year. Rajinikanth wanted to take a break after he is done with Coolie. But he has changed his plans and he allocated dates for the shoot of Jailer 2 in March. The shoot of the film starts next week.

Considering the huge buzz surrounding around, Rajinikanth wanted to kickstart the shoot and complete it at the earliest. The shoot will take place in Chennai and the next schedule will take place in Goa. A major portion of the shoot will be wrapped up in Tamil Nadu. Jailer 2 has several interesting cameos like the first part had and the makers would make an official announcement soon. Lokesh Kanagaraj is the director and Sun Pictures are the producers. Anirudh scores the music and the announcement video created a huge buzz. Jailer 2 is planned on a record budget and it will release next year.
