Superstar Rajinikanth has been unwell from the past few months and he is being treated in USA. He took a break for three months before the release of Kabali and he returned back to the country to start shooting for Robo 2.0. This Shankar’s directorial is the costliest ever Indian film and is being made on a budget of Rs 350 crores. The actor has been to USA for his treatment and returned back to the country before Diwali. Amy Jackson is the female lead and she wrapped up her part for the film.
Rajinikanth will join the shoot of Robo 2.0 from tomorrow and will continue to shoot till the shoot wraps up. The makers have been canning the other episodes from the past few days and Shankar is personally supervising the VFX effects. The post-production work of Robo 2.0 started recently and Akshay Kumar will be seen as the lead antagonist in the film. Lyca Productions is producing the film which will release during the second half of 2017. The first look of Robo 2.0 will be out on November 20th.
