With the lukewarm response that sequels of ‘Raju Gari Gadhi’ have received, director Ohmkar will be stopping this franchise. There will no longer be more sequels. The super success of ‘Raju Gari Gadhi’ has inspired Ohmkar to turn it into a horror-comedy brand on the lines of ‘Kanchana’. But part two was a flop and part three is doing the pretty ordinary business at ticket windows.
Moreover, director Ohmkar is facing a drought of ideas to take this brand forward. The second part ‘Raju Gari Gadhi 2’ was a remake of Malayalam movie ‘Pretham’ and the latest ‘Raju Gari Gadhi 3’ is based on Tamil comedy movie ‘Dhilluku Dhuddu 2’. Ohmkar is lacking story ideas to make more sequels in this franchise.
Though the latest sequel received better collections despite bad reviews, it is not a sensation like the first part. Taking this into account, Ohmkar and his brother Ashwin Babu are planning to end this horror-comedy franchise.
