Megastar Chiranjeevi who ruled Tollywood for almost two decades made his comeback as an actor after nine complete years with Khaidi No 150. The movie released between huge expectations and it has been declared as a blockbuster. VV Vinayak directed the film and Ram Charan produced Khaidi No 150 on his Konidela Production Company banner. Allu Aravind and VV Vinayak arranged a special press meet and announced that Khaidi No 150 is the fastest Rs 100 crore grosser in Tollywood.
Income Tax Officials kept a close watch on all the filmmakers whose films turned out to be money spinners at the box-office. They recently questioned the makers of Gautamiputra Satakarni and now it was Ramcharan’s turn after Khaidi No 150 has been called as the second biggest blockbuster of Telugu cinema. The biggest surprise came here After Ramcharan revealed to Income Tax officials that Khaidi No 150 collected just Rs 75 crores after being made on a budget of Rs 60 crores. He even revealed that Megastar Chiranjeevi has been offered Rs 20 crores as remuneration and VV Vinayak took Rs 10 crore for the film.
Ramcharan just showed Rs 15 crores profit and he revealed that he would pay tax for the profits shown. Going into reality, Chiranjeevi rejected accepting any remuneration for the film and VV Vinayak was offered a pay cheque of Rs 5 crores. Though Charan acted smart with the IT officials, he Mega family has been left irked after a section of media reported their IT disclosure.
Charan has been trolled across the social media in all the available ways. Further, the tax officials asked how Vinayak and Aravind announced massive figures about Khaidi No 150, Charan revealed in his own style that it was just a ‘publicity trick’. Mega family has been left confused about this instant. Charan even revealed that the final charts from the exhibitors are yet to be awaited and the final figures of the film will be announced soon. It is Chiranjeevi and Charan who knows the real figures of the film. Is this trick by Charan to avoid paying tax?
