Maverick director Ram Gopal Varma, in his impeccable style, attacked Bollywood superstar Aamir khan on twitter today. Varma tweeted directly hitting on Aamir khan’s controversial statements. It is known that , while speaking at a journalists awards function yesterday, Aamir khan said he feels that the sense of insecurity and fear has been growing in the past six or eight months in India.
“As an individual, as part of this country as a citizen, we read in the papers what is happening, we see it on the news and certainly, I have been alarmed. I can’t deny. I have been alarmed by a number of incidents,” “When I chat with Kiran at home, she says ‘Should we move out of India?’ She fears for her child. She fears about what the atmosphere around us will be. She feels scared to open the newspapers every day.” Aamir stated.
People who read Aamir’s statements through social media and in main stream media are kind of shocked with his exaggerated talk. Yes, there were sporadic incidents happening in India as always, and there is growing percentage of intolerance, but are they really circumstances that threaten a celebrity family like Aamir’s to leave India ? Really No. Such irresponsible statements from a celebrity like Aamir do send wrong signals across the world. Sensing the resentment accumulated around Aamir’s statement, Ram Gopal varma , who’s been not in good terms with Aamir Khan, post-Rangeela movie, stepped in and utilized the opportunity to counter Aamir Khan.

“If Aamir,Sharuk and Salman the three biggest stars of the Hindu country “India” are Muslims, I don’t understand where intolerance is? In a predominantly Hindu country,if 3 Muslims can become the biggest iconic super stars that itself proves the majority aren’t intolerant.Some celebs complaining about Intolerance should be the last ones to complain becos they became celebs in a so called intolerant country.If u are really feeling like a family and there’s a problem in the family,family members in public wont say theres intolerance in the family.The fact is that the vast majority connect only to individuals deeds and generalised hard feelings are nothing but juvenile noises”
Be it taking revenge on Aamir due to past feud (or) really heart felt one for Aamir’s irresponsible statements,Varma played it well to the galleries.
