AP Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy proved his credibility yet again by rewarding one more YSR family loyalist with TTD post. Controversial former chief priest Ramana Deekshitulu is appointed as a member of the TTD Agama Advisory Committee. He is also given permission to guide upcoming priests.
For various reasons, Ramana Deekshitulu became very close to the YSR family. He openly took a pro-YCP political stand which eventually led to his losing priesthood during the TDP Regime. Since Jagan came to power, there’s talk that Ramana Deekshitulu will come into spotlight once again. But, after five long months, he could get entry into the TTD.
Analysts say that a calculated strategy is behind the appointment of Ramana Deekshitulu now. There is lot of heartburn following the humiliating transfer of Chief Secretary LV Subrahmanyam. His community leaders and IAS lobby are totally upset in the Kadapa faction manner in which senior IAS was insulted. To dilute this, CM Jagan hastened and gave long pending appointment to Ramana Deekshitulu.
