Former minister and chairman public accounts committee of Telangana assembly Ramreddy Venkata Reddy (63)passed away today after prolonged illness. The end came while he was still undergoing treatment at KIMS, Hyderabad. According to family members, he had been suffering from lung problem for past several years.
Reddy, a four-time MLA, is now representing Palair constituency in Khamma district, for the second term. He first got elected from Palair in 2009 and was minister for horticulture in Congress governments. Earlier, he got elected to Assembly from Sujata Nagar constituency, Khammam district. Reddy launched his political career as sarpanch of his Pathalingala village in 1967 and rose to the level of minister during Rosaiah and Kirankumar Reddy cabinets.
His body is shifted to Khammam and the cremation will take place at his native place Pathalingala village tomorrow afternoon.
