Just one film can change the career of an actor/technician. And, it has been proved perfectly in the case of Rana Daggubati, whose career can be divided into pre-Baahubali and post-Baahubali.
Rana has started winning accolades as well as box office by choosing different films, ever since Baahubali happened. He has done a patriotic thriller (Ghazi), a political drama (NRNM) and has a spy thriller in pipeline. Rana is also chosen to play the mythological character of Hiranyakashipa in Gunasekhar’s ambitious film.
As per the latest buzz in film circles, Rana will be essaying the character of Lord Anjaneya in Manchu family’s ambitious project ‘Raavana’. Mohan Babu and his son Vishnu have been hatching plans for a long time to bring the story of Raavana onto silver screen. While Mohan Babu will play the titular character, several noted actors are being considered to play key roles in the magnum opus. Excited by the opportunity to play Anjaneya on silver screen, Rana Daggubati is heard to have given his consent to the Manchu family.
The film’s director hasn’t been finalized yet. Veteran director K Raghavendra Rao was earlier supposed to direct the film but Manchu family is now looking at other options.
