Ram Charan’s blockbuster rustic drama Rangasthalam has become the first non-Baahubali film of Tollywood to hit the $ 3.5 M mark in USA. The Sukumar directional has had a dream run at the US box office ever since its release on March 30.
After giving the career best openings for Charan with a solid start on Thursday premiers, Rangasthalam went on to notch up sensational revenues in the first week. Not stopping there, the film entered the $ 3 M club with its consistent run in US.
By surpassing Mahesh Babu’s Srimanthudu, Rangasthalam emerged as the biggest non-Baahubali hit and also the highest grossing film in Sukumar and Charan’s career.
Despite the release of new films like Bharat Ane Nenu and Avengers, Rangasthalam refused to slow down and touched the magical $ 3.5 M in US.
Ram Charan’s career best performance and Sukumar’s emotional narration and good dose drama and entertainment have helped the film big time. The presence of star cast like Samantha, Aadhi Pinisetty, Jagapathi Babu and Prakash Raj and top notch production values by Mythri Movie Makers have come in handy for the film.
Rangasthalam released through Creative Cinemas NY in overseas.
