Awe! Film is mind blowing, calling this a path breaking film is an
understatement. Unbelievable, this kind of films being made and marketed
so well, casting, acting and execution perfectly followed up on a brilliant
idea.
Awe is a film which mixes genres of Comedy, Suspense and Horror and
holds the audience’s attention with a terrific screenplay without failing to
throw a surprise every 10 mins of the film. The film is supported by an
ensemble cast with everyone delivering a fine performance. This is a brave attempt because, there are no conventional notions attached to Indian films, there is no story, no songs, no conventional scenes considered as entertainment. Yes, there is no story in this film, it’s based on interesting characters and situations. Cannot elaborate further
without spoilers, so will pause here.
It’s a must watch. Telugu cinema in recent years is shedding its reputation
of making only formula films and breaking new grounds, “Awe” takes this
trend to a new level all together. What’s even more encouraging is the film
is garnering a very good response from the audience and the collections
are reflective of this. The commercial success of this venture will be
instrumental in giving wings to many young directors to explore new genres
and stories.
Tip of the hat to director Prashant Varma and producer Nani for backing
this audacious attempt. Go watch it and get awed.
