Prior to bifurcation, Tollywood used to maintain good relations with then ruling government of AP and many personalities of TFI used to strongly support government of AP. But after bifurcation, situation has changed and now TFI seems caring for and supporting only Telangana government and it’s initiatives.
Budding actors to top stars doing everything to grab the attention of powers that be in Telangana Government. Whatever T-govt is initiating, whatever KTR or Kavitha is campaigning for , these people are voluntarily taking their photos, selfies and posting on twitter. They are immediately responding to KTR’s tweets and some of them are contributing for Telangana CM relief fund. It’s good that they are supporting Telangana government but only thing people are wondering is why film industry people are not at all reciprocating the same way for AP government and it’s initiatives.
Actor SubbaRaju recently contributed 25 lakh for Telangana CM relief fund. Is it just coincidental that SubbaRaju’s name was prominent in drugs case few months back ?? Earlier Vijay Devarakonda also did the similar thing when he got Filmfare award. TFI people contributing to CM relief fund should be highly appreciated. However, Telangana is rich state compared to AP, as KCR and several others pointed out many times. Andhra Government promoted donations to build Amaravati capital , donations to digitize the public schools etc. volunteer tasks heavily. Most of the celebrities turned a cold eye towards it.
From dreaming about it.
To winning it.
To giving it away.
A journey has been made 🙂

Recently Mahesh Babu celebrated his birthday. Many wished him through twitter. KTR tweeted “Happy Birthday to the most humble superstar I know & dear friend @urstrulyMahesh . Many returns of the day & I hope that you continue to be your awesome self Chief” and Mahesh Babu replied – “Thank you for your kind wishes, sir.” Also KCR’s daughter Kavitha tweeted wishing him and Mahesh Babu responded to her by retweeting her tweet . However, Nara Lokesh also tweeted, “Happy Birthday @UrstrulyMahesh. Have a great year ahead filled with joy and success”, but Mahesh Babu didn’t respond to that tweet with an acknowledgement.
Happy Birthday @urstrulyMahesh garu !! Best wishes and a heartfelt thank you for your video message supporting this virtuous cause of #Sisters4Change. I'm sure this will inspire others to #GiftAHelmet and save precious lives ! pic.twitter.com/0KcK7DZLQa

Moreover, whatever initiative if it is coming from Telangana government or KTR, TFI celebrities are immediately responding to the initiatives in which KTR or Kavitha are participating. Be it Harithaharam or Silk clothes initiative or any other such initiatives. Manchu Lakshmi earlier told that KTR has turned the Sankranti as the silk clothes festival and complimented him for promoting the handloom clothes. She tweeted … “It’s a #handloom Sankranti at the #Manchu’s @KTRTRS appreciate the initiative.” Most of the celebrities, responded to Harithaharam positively. Earlier, Janasena chief Pawan also was seen appreciating KTR and his government
It was surprising to see TFI giving importance only to whatever Telangana government or its leaders are initiating but not contributing to the initiatives of AP governments. Some point out that AP or Lokesh is not very active in initiating such innovative ideas where they can involve celebrities in their initiatives. Some others point out that there not many initiatives from AP government at all. But if they really want, celebrities could have responded Amaravati’s brick donating, schools digitization programs in AP. Recently Nara Rohit donated for Anna canteens. If other celebrities are really keen to contribute AP, they could have contributed to some scheme or other.
Some others point out Tollywood is based in Hyderabad and all these celebrities have their financial stakes only in Hyderabad and that’s why they want to maintain good relations with T-government only. However, it is to be noted that, even though Nizam is a big market, 60% of the revenue of TFI come from AP. So, while people of AP are also contributing to Telugu film industry, celebrities of TFI are seen more inclined towards T-government.
Of course, TFI was seen supporting AP during Hudhud such disasters. But in general, mainly recent times, TFI celebrities turned TRS appeasing group and mere ‘Bhajana gang to Power circles in TS’ . TFI should introspect themselves on this , contribute to both states with EQUAL generosity .
