Highly anticipated Megastar’s movie fetches record high overseas price. For a movie that is not named Bahubali, this is the highest ever overseas deal.
Megastar Chiranjeevi is making his comeback to mainstream cinema after a gap of nine years and the movie has been titled as Khaidi No 150. The movie has been carrying huge hype right from the first day of shoot and the film is being directed by VV Vinayak. Ramcharan announced that he will produce this prestigious movie on his own banner and he is personally overlooking into all the formalities of the movie. There are talks that Ramcharan is in no mood to comprimise on the overseas rights of the film and he has not sold the film despite of getting hefty offers.
The latest update reveals that the overseas rights of Khaidi No 150 have been acquired by Classic Cinemas for a whopping price of Rs 13.5 crores. This is huge for a Telugu movie and the movie should impress the audience big time to end up in recovering the investment. Khaidi No 150 is the remake of Tamil blockbuster Kaththi and the film has been receiving huge offers from all the territories across the Telugu speaking states. Megastar is in plans to make a strong comeback with Khaidi No 1 and Kajal is the female lead. Devi Sri Prasad is the music composer and the film will hit the screens during Sankranthi next year.
