Most directors first prefer working with in-demand stars only. They approach the top and middle-range stars with their new stories. When those stars don’t like the storylines or reject them, the directors are not heading anywhere but to Ravi Teja’s den. Ravi Teja is the last resort for them. Ajay Bhupathi came to Ravi Teja with his story of ‘Maha Samudram’ after seeing rejections from several other medium-range stories. Ravi Teja first greenlit the project but backed off later for various reasons.
Gopichand Malineni first narrated a story to Varun Tej. Then he approached other stars. Finally, Ravi Teja gave him the nod and the film has been announced recently.
It is said that even successful director Trinadha Rao Nakkina has now knocked the doors of Ravi Teja after Venkatesh didn’t find the story exciting. Ravi Teja who is desperate for new movies has readily agreed. Thus, Ravi Teja in a way became a rescuer for the directors.
