Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is reportedly reviving his age-old habit of conducting by-poll to instil confidence of in party cadre. Speculations are rife that Nalgonda Member of Parliament Gutta Sukhender Reddy who switched from Congress to TRS will be resigning to his post and that the by-election will become inevitable. The buzz is that Gutta will be made the head of Farmer’s Coordination Committee.
Telangana Telugu Desham party is reportedly making moves, to ensure that they give tough competition in the bypoll. If the reports are to believed, TTDP working president Revanth Reddy himself might contest.
Congress has strong hold in the erstwhile Nalgonda with the elites of TPCC Uttam Kumar Reddy, Jana Reddy and Komatireddy brothers representing constituencies from the district. Only one defections took place in Nalgonda from TPCC to TRS so far apart from MP Gutta.
This election will be prestigious for KCR as he will be able to put-down the opposition party in their own constituencies. Also this impact will be seen on the 2019 general elections.
