Ram Gopal Varma who never shies off from creating sensations on silver screen atleast while announcing his projects this time came with another sensational film. RGV decided to come with a film titled ‘Sashikala’. RGV revealed that the film is about Tamil Nadu CM Jayalalithaa who passed away due to cardiac arrest recently and whose close friend Sashikala took over the mantle of the party and government.
RGV however shied away from any controversy stating that the film is completely fictional. RGV sharing the details tweeted “Just registered my new film title “Shashikala” it’s the story of a very dearest closest friend of a politician and completely fictional”
RGV’s latest film Vangaveeti on faction rivalry in Vijaywada in the 80s is all set for grand release on Dec 23rd.

"Shashikala" is going to be a very very sincere from the heart Tamilan love story and absolutely nothing to with fictional non politics
— Ram Gopal Varma (@RGVzoomin) December 15, 2016
Fictional non politics of Shashikala have a fundamental contradiction with highly truthful but assumed non truths of Jayalalitha

I immensely respect Jayalalitha but I honestly respect Shasikalaji a little bit much much much more
— Ram Gopal Varma (@RGVzoomin) December 15, 2016
Jayalalitha ji respected Shasikala ji much more than she respected anybody else proves why I should call my film "Shasikala"
— Ram Gopal Varma (@RGVzoomin) December 15, 2016
Jayalalitha seen through the eyes of Shasikala is much more poetic and honest thought than seeing Jayalalitha only through Jayalalitha
