She criticized that the Indian cricket team has an unappealing captain, something she claimed was unprecedented. Her comments immediately triggered strong reactions from cricket fans, especially Rohit’s supporters.
BJP leaders strongly condemned the post, questioning if Congress leaders wanted Rahul Gandhi to play cricket because he was failing in politics. They further criticized Congress for still functioning with an “Emergency mindset.”
Meanwhile, Rohit’s fans defended him by highlighting the numerous victories achieved under his leadership. Following the backlash, Shama Mohammad deleted her post and clarified that her comments were casual observations.
