AP CM N Chandrababu Naidu took strong objection to the manner in which the Modi government at the Centre fulfilled railway zone promise for Visakhapatnam. Only passenger traffic revenue is being given to AP while the higher revenue of nearly Rs. 7000 crore will go to Odisha. Once again AP is betrayed by the Centre. It is a clear case of misleading the AP people by making false gestures in election season.
Chandrababu accused the BJP leaders of making statements on railway zone only to divert the attention of AP people from the burning issues. PM Modi has not made any progress on special category status and there is no commitment on the part of BJP to fulfill this all important promise made at the time of AP separation from Hyderabad city. But suddenly railway zone promise was fulfilled with with an eye on the electoral benefits.
AP CM demanded that PM Modi should step his foot on AP soil only after fulfilling all the reorganisation promises made to the state. Modi is visiting Visakhapatnam on Friday. Chandrababu gave a call to the people to show their protest by wearing black flags during Modi’s visit.
