CM YS Jaganmohan Reddy has decided to give top priority to Rythu Bharosa crop investment support to farmers. His government is allocating Rs. 8,750 crore for 70 lakh farmers all over the state. Each farmer will get Rs. 12,500 towards crop investment support. All this money would be distributed at one go to the farmers and the programme would be inaugurated on September 15.
Jagan has reiterated that his government will do everything possible to support and enhance living conditions of the farmers. A target has been fixed to give loans worth Rs. 84,000 crore. If the farmers repay these loans as per schedule, they will have to pay no interest. He says that no other government has brought is this kind of scheme anywhere else.
Jagan government is bringing in another programme to support 55 lakh farmers. On behalf of them, the government will pay Rs. 2163.50 crore towards premium for crop insurance for 56 lakh hectares. Then, the farmers will be eligible for claims and compensation without having to pay premium. If there is a suicide of any farmer, the District Collector and the MLA concerned will visit his family and hand over Rs. 7 lakh compensation.
