The Andhra Pradesh High Court heard a petition filed by YSRCP leader Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy. The petition asks for the cancellation of a look-out notice issued against him. During the hearing, the court ordered the petition to be moved to the Chief Justice’s bench for further review.
The case stems from an attack on the TDP central office. Mangalagiri Rural Police filed a case against Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy for his alleged involvement. Recently, the Guntur SP issued a look-out circular (LOC) against Sajjala in connection with this case.
The attack on the TDP office happened on October 19, 2021, when YSRCP was in power. YSRCP workers and leaders were accused of carrying out the attack. Although a case was filed at the time, no investigation took place immediately.
Police recently identified Sajjala’s potential involvement in the case. They issued look-out notices to prevent him from leaving the country. Police have already questioned other YSRCP leaders like Lella Appireddy, Devineni Avinash, and Talasila Raghuram multiple times in connection with the office attack.
Sajjala faced issues at Mumbai airport due to the circular against him. The Andhra Pradesh government has now handed over the case to the CID. CID officials are working with Mangalagiri police to continue the investigation.
During questioning, officials revealed that Sajjala is the 120th accused in the case. They explained that some names on the accused list are repeated. After confirming the actual accused, they plan to remove the extra names. Until then, Sajjala remains the 120th accused in the case.
