Star actor Samantha Akkineni, who has been in showbiz for over a decade now, seems to have taken a cue from some of the current generation starlets who dubbed their own voice for many of the recent films.

The Rangasthalam actress has dubbed her own voice for the prominent character she essayed in the much awaited biopic Mahanati. This is the first time Samantha has lent her voice in Telugu. Throughout her career she has been supported by singer Chinmayi who dubbed for her roles.

It is Samantha who thought that her original vocals would make the narration more authentic and she has requested the makers to allow her dub own voice.

Samantha is playing the role of Journalist Madhuravani and it is through her the entire story of Savitri gets narrated.

Mahanati is slated to hit the screens on May 9th.
