Samantha Prabhu has joined the wellness brand Secret Alchemist as a co-founder after the company’s $500,000 seed funding round, led by Inflection Point Ventures (IPV). The round also had participation from Siddharth Shah, the founder of Pharmeasy, and Rishubh Satiya, the founder of Plix. Secret Alchemist, co-founded by Ankita Thadani and Akash Valia, is a 30-year-old aromatherapy company that offers natural, sustainable, and non-toxic, premium ingredients. The company plans to use the funding to expand its operations, build inventory for the upcoming festive season, grow its team, and strengthen its marketing efforts. Additionally, the brand aims to expand its product range to include pure-grade essential oils in the form of creams, mists, and shower gels, enhancing its overall wellness offerings.
Samantha shared her personal experience saying “When I was on my healing journey and went for treatment abroad, aromatherapy became an unexpected source of comfort and healing. I realised how extensively healers in the West were using essential oils to enhance well-being. It had such a profound impact on my health that, upon returning, I searched for a brand I could trust, and that’s when I found Secret Alchemist”. The actress also shared some clicks along with the team.
