Congress leader and Telangana Minister Konda Surekha’s unsavoury remarks alleging that BRS working president KT Rama Rao played a role in the divorce of his son Naga Chaitanya with actor Samantha received huge backlash from all quarters. She also made some repulsive remarks on Samantha and KTR while referring to Nagarjuna’s ‘N Convention’. These senseless comments triggered a massive outrage among everyone irrespective of the political affiliations.

Terming her remarks “completely irrelevant and false”, Nagarjuna urged the Minister to respect people’s privacy. He immediately took to X and condemned her comments.

Now, Samantha responded on the ongoing controversy. She released a short note, expressing her opinion on the allegations. Samantha said her divorce is a personal matter and requested to refrain from speculating on it. She also clarified that the divorce was of mutual consent and there is no political conspiracy involved in it. She implored the Minister to be responsible and respectful of individual’s privacy. She asked to keep her out of politics battles.

Earlier, Nagarjuna said in Telugu “I strongly condemn the comments of the honourable minister, Mrs Konda Surekha. Don’t use the lives of film stars who stay away from politics to criticise your opponents. Please respect other people’s privacy,”

Meanwhile, Surekha’s unnecessary comments invited huge trouble for the Congress party in Telangana. There is now huge pressure on her to issue a public apology for the disgusting and unwarranted statements she made in order to hit out at the opponents.
