Released amidst huge expectations on January 15th, Akkineni Nagarjuna’s family entertainer Soggade Chinni Nayana struck the right chord with the audience and went on to become the highest grossing film in his career. Nagarjuna’s one man show in dual roles and the glamour quotient of the female leads are the selling points for the film. Despite heavy competition and low screen count, the film emerged as the first blockbuster hit of this year.

The film has successfully completed 50 days in more than 100 centres, a rare feat in the current day scenario. The film has notched up stunning collections in all areas of its release. Debutante Kalyan Krishna handled the family entertainer very well with his flawless narration. Anup Rubens’ music turned out to be the biggest assets for the movie. Nagarjuna himself produced the film on Annapurna Studios banner. Ramya Krishna and Lavanya Tripathi are the female leads.
