Powerstar Pawan Kalyan’s Sardar Gabbar Singh packed a punch in Overseas. According to the latest trade reports, the film has amassed $ 606K ( With hiked ticket prices) from its premiers. It has surpassed the premier day collections of Mahesh Babu’s Srimanthudu ( $555K ) and secured second place in the list of Telugu films with highest gross on premiers. Baahubali is in the first place with $1395K from its premiers.
Sardar Gabbar Singh opened to packed houses in both the Telugu States. The film managed to garner mixed reports from audience and mediocre web reviews. Pawan Kalyan’s one man show and the impressive background are the biggest assets for the film. The lackluster storyline and insipid narration might effect the film’s box office prospects.
Directed by KS Ravindra aka Bobby, Sardar features Kajal Aggarwal as the heroine. Pawan himself penned the story and screenplay for the film. Sharrat Marar produced the film on Northstar Entertainment banner.
