Versatile filmmaker Sekhar Kammula made a huge impact across the multiplexes and the family audience with his films Anand, Godavari and Happy Days. However he took a long break and wanted to bounce back with a blockbuster after some of his recent outings failed to make much impact at the box-office. After three complete years, he is testing his luck with Fidaa starring Varuntej and Sai Pallavi in the lead roles. Though the film did not have much buzz before, the recently released songs and the trailer caught everyone’s attention. The movie completed all the formalities and is gearing up for release this Friday.
He said “I watched the film thrice and I am very confident that everyone will watch the film twice for sure. I wanted to make a film based in USA as I stayed there and it finally happened with Fidaa. Just to breakup from Konaseema backdrop, I preferred Telangana after I visited a village Bansuvada in Nizamabad. The film got delayed as Varuntej got injured however the film is releasing at the right time and will sure impress the audience bigtime. I did not narrate the story to anyone before but I met Mahesh and wanted to work with him. I never narrate the script to anyone before Varuntej. Both Varuntej and Sai Pallavi did a fabulous job and thanks to Dil Raju for the grand production values”.
