It is known news that veteran actress Jayanthi has been hospitalised on 25 March after she complained of severe breathing difficulties. She was being admitted to Intensive care unit and monitored by expert doctors. Meanwhile, some channels and websites started reporting her death. Today, her family members came out and denied death rumors.
Jayanthi’s son told the media, “There is no truth in the news of Jayanti’s death in social media. Some TV channels reported that she was dead which is untrue as they were confused regarding her health.” He also added, she is responding to medication and on path of recovery.
Jayanthi acted in different genres of films from the 1960s, 1970s and early 1980s. She has appeared in over 500 films, including films in the Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi and Marathi languages. Some of her noted performances in Telugu are in films like Justice Chowdary, Pedarayudu, Swati Kiranam , Vamshanikokkadu.
